Is it too late to say Happy New Year?

I think it might be, but I’ve said it anyway! I’m stopping by just briefly to share with you pictures of some of the gifts I made my family and friends this Christmas. I actually forgot to photograph many of them (I made a lot of presents!) but I have found three to show you.

This is a pair of notebooks I illustrated the covers for. It was a time consuming task but they turned out well I think!

Hand drawn notebooks

Here’s a little framed illustration I did for my aunt. I actually cheated a bit here and took inspiration from a Dr. Seuss quote, but I think that’s allowed.

And these guys are my favourite. They were made by gathering some homeless soft toys from charity shops and reassembling them into new creatures! I haven’t done any sewing in a while so I wasn’t too confident, but I was so pleased with how they turned out and the recipients seemed pretty happy too. They were very fun to make, and it was great to be recycling. I’ll definitely be doing some more in the future.

I made all sorts of other things; cards, a tiny story, hand painted mugs, a calendar (more on that another time). Making presents is the best, but I must try to start earlier next year; it all became a bit of a rush! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
